橡衣は橡で染めた衣で､奴稗が着ることになっていた｡奴稗が橡衣を着るように定められたのは持統七年（『日本書紀』同年正月壬辰条)のことと思われ､詔として｢令天下百姓服黄色衣､奴皂衣｣とある｡『万葉集』にも奴稗の橡衣に関するものがある(『万葉集』一三一一､一三一四､二九六五､三〇〇九等)｡ |
